WHAT YOU NOTICE WHEN YOU CRACK ONE

Eggs built on good husbandry, not shortcuts.

A good egg begins long before it reaches the carton. The hens’ nutrition, movement, pasture access, clean water, shelter and low-stress environment all support the quality and consistency of what they lay.

01

Firm whites

Fresh eggs generally hold together more cleanly in the pan or poaching water, with a thick white that stays closer to the yolk.

02

Strong shells

Careful flock nutrition and management support robust shells that stand up better through collection, grading, packing and handling.

03

Rich, honest flavour

Pasture, plants, insects and a balanced laying diet contribute to eggs with proper texture, naturally rich yolks and satisfying flavour.

TELL US WHAT YOU NEED

PACKS, SIZES & NATURAL VARIATION

The hens decide what they lay. We make ordering simple.

Production changes with the age of the flock, daylight, weather, seasons and moulting. Let us know your preference—and whether you’re flexible—so we can offer the best current match.

HOUSEHOLD & RETAIL

12-egg cartons

A convenient format for home kitchens and retail supply. Available sizes depend on the eggs currently being laid.

FOOD SERVICE & BULK

30-egg trays

A practical option for cafés, restaurants, bakeries, caterers and households that use eggs in volume.

GREAT FOR COOKING

Flexible & B-grade

B-grade eggs may be unusual in shape, cosmetically imperfect or outside standard retail grading—but remain useful cooking eggs.

HOW ORDERING WORKS

An enquiry first. A confirmed order second.

Eggs are a seasonal farm product, so we confirm what is actually available rather than promising stock the flock has not laid.

1

Send your requirements

Choose household or wholesale, tell us how many cartons or trays you need, your preferred size and how often you would like to order.

2

We check current supply

We match your enquiry against current egg sizes, quantities, delivery routes and available handover arrangements.

3

We confirm the details

We contact you with availability, pricing and fulfilment details. Your order is confirmed only after you hear back from us.

BEFORE YOU SEND

A few useful things to know

  • Submitting the form is an enquiry, not a confirmed order.
  • Sizes and quantities vary with natural production.
  • Delivery depends on your location, order size and current routes.
  • The farm is a biosecure working area, so public visits and farm-gate collection are not available.
  • Ordinary parcel postage is not suitable for fragile eggs.

ORDERING QUESTIONS

The useful answers, before you have to ask.

Availability follows the flock, not a warehouse shelf. These answers explain what to expect when ordering a genuinely seasonal farm product.

What makes The Good Dozen eggs different?

Our hens live on pasture with room to roam, scratch, forage and behave naturally. Their varied diet, active lifestyle and careful management produce fresh eggs with firm whites, rich yolks and strong shells.

Are your eggs free-range?

Yes—but pasture-raised goes further. Australian free-range systems can operate at much higher outdoor stocking densities. Our hens spend their days on real pasture at a much lower density, with space to forage, dust-bathe and explore.

Put simply: pasture-raised eggs are free-range, but not every free-range system is genuinely pasture-based.

What egg sizes do you offer?

Depending on current production, eggs may be available as medium, large, extra large, jumbo or B-grade. Not every size is available all the time, so selecting “flexible” helps us match your order sooner.

What are B-grade eggs?

B-grade eggs are wholesome farm eggs that may be unusually shaped, cosmetically imperfect or outside standard retail grading. They are well suited to cafés, restaurants, bakeries and anyone using eggs for cooking.

Can households and food businesses both order?

Yes. We welcome household enquiries as well as enquiries from cafés, restaurants, bakeries, caterers, retailers and other food businesses. Tell us the quantity, pack type and frequency you need.

Can I arrange a weekly or fortnightly supply?

Yes. Regular supply enquiries are welcome, subject to seasonal production, available egg sizes, minimum quantities and suitable delivery arrangements.

Does submitting this form confirm my order?

No. It tells us what you would like. We first check current availability, pricing and fulfilment arrangements, then contact you. Your order is confirmed only after you hear back from us.

Do you deliver?

Delivery may be possible depending on your location, order size and current delivery routes. Include your suburb or town and postcode so we can advise what is available.

Can I collect from or visit the farm?

No. The farm is a biosecure working area, so we do not offer public visits, tours or farm-gate collection. Limiting visitors helps prevent diseases, pests and contaminants from reaching the flock. We can discuss delivery or an off-farm handover option where available.

Do you post eggs?

Ordinary parcel postage is not suitable because eggs are fragile and need careful handling. Send us your location and requirements and we will advise whether another option is available.

What happens if my preferred size is unavailable?

We will contact you before confirming the order and offer the closest available size or another suitable option. Egg production changes naturally with season, weather, daylight, moulting and flock age.

How should I store the eggs?

Keep eggs refrigerated in their original carton. The carton protects them from damage, reduces moisture loss and helps prevent them absorbing odours from other foods.

Ready for ethical eggs with taste?

Send your requirements and we’ll match them to what the hens are laying now.
